Brazil's music and dance captures the very essence of its people. A conglomerate of many colours, Brazil is proud of its rich heritage. From the indigenous people of the jungles of the Amazon to the white European settlers of Portugal and Spain, to the black African Slaves and the latter wave of Italian, Japanese, Lebanese migration - Brazil is truly a melting pot. Our music and dance derives its roots from Africa but has been further enriched by Indigenous and European influences. From the traditional Samba, Pagode, Batucada, AxE ForrEand Lambada to the hypnotizing and graceful movements of the art of "Capoeira" - the vibrant rhythm and sensual movements will have you mesmerized. Apart from our traditional music and dance, DJ Marcelinho will also be embracing Brazil's more contemporary music with the hottest and latest grooves. James was a resident DJ in 2003 at the Agincourt Hotel where he used to play to a full house of at least 500 people each Thursday night with a great mix of rnb & commercial dance tracks.
